Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)

What is TBRI?

TBRI is a therapeutic model that trains caregivers to provide effective support and treatment for at-risk children. TBRI stands for Trust-Based Relational Intervention. It focuses on 3 components:

  • Connection

  • Empowering

  • Correction

Parents will learn applicable and effective strategies backed by science that are transformative to the parent-child relationship, the child’s behavior, and the child’s ability to connect with others.

How Can I Sign Up?

Spring 2024 classes start January 14.

Each class lasts 1.5 hours.

When you sign up, you are committing to 2 semesters of TBRI. It is an in depth valuable training worth the commitment.

The classes are FREE. If childcare is needed, children ages 4 years old to 5th grade can participate in FirstKid’s Quest (First Baptist Church’s kid’s ministry activities). Nursery is also available for children 3 and under.

FirstKid’s Quest offers Bible study, snacks, and recreation and meets at the same time TBRI classes are offered. If you’d like your children to participate in that as well, please register them here:
