A Quick Word about Baptism
Baptism does not save us, rather it is our repentance and faith in Jesus Christ that reconciles us with God.
Ephesisans 2:8-9 says,
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (NLT)
Baptism is identifying with Christ and letting others know you have trusted your life to Jesus. It is acknowledging that you are a new creation in Christ, you have put to the grave your old sinful ways and are now following after Him. (2 Cor. 5:17, Col. 3:1-17).
